1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the tasting.team mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Service. By using tasting.team, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and of legal drinking age in your jurisdiction. We reserve the right to terminate accounts of users who do not meet this requirement.

3. Description of Service

tasting.team is a wine tasting tracking application that allows users to record and rate wines, organize tasting events, and share experiences with teams. The Service does not sell, distribute, or facilitate the purchase of alcoholic beverages.

4. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Post content that promotes excessive or irresponsible alcohol consumption
Share content that is offensive, harmful, or violates the rights of others
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other user accounts or our systems
Use the Service to spam, harass, or send unsolicited communications
Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

6. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service, including wine ratings, reviews, and photos. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content within the Service. You are solely responsible for the content you post and must ensure you have the right to share it.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by tasting.team and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our prior written consent.

8. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. tasting.team does not provide medical, legal, or professional advice. Wine ratings and reviews are subjective opinions of users. Always drink responsibly and in accordance with local laws.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, tasting.team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice in the app or sending you an email. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
